Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholarships at the NYU School of Law
Return to Fellowship SearchThe Root-Tilden-Kern Scholarship is awarded to students who intend to pursue careers in public service. Each year 20 scholars are selected based on three criteria: commitment to public service, academic excellence, and potential for leadership. The scholarship program defines public service broadly to include employment with U.S. or international non-profit organizations, government public policy and legal positions, academia, electoral politics, community developments and law firms whose primary focus is serving the public interest or serving under-represented clients.
