Return to Fellowship SearchThe goal of the ACS Scholars Program is to raise awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in science and to assist students in acquiring the skills and credentials necessary for success in these areas. The Program provides renewable scholarships of up to $5,000.00 to underrepresented minority students i.e. students who are African American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian and who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, material science, toxicology, and environmental science.
Award / Eligibility Details:
Applicants must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian. They must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be full-time students at a high school or accredited community college, senior college, or university. Students must demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science with a GPA of 3.0 or better. In addition, students must demonstrate financial need and intend to pursue a career in the chemical sciences.
