American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Scholarship
Return to Fellowship SearchThe ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school. The scholarship seeks to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to and attend an ABA-accredited law school. The award is renewable each year and students must re-apply in the second and third years. The Fund’s expectation is that the scholarship will be renewed each year based on the satisfactory progress made by each recipient.
Award / Eligibility Details:
In addition to whether the applicant is a member of a racial and/or ethnic minority underrepresented in the legal profession, other eligibility criteria include the applicant’s financial need, personal, family and educational background; personal statement and participation in community service activities.
Deadline: Mid-Spring of each year.
